I just recently started this blog, and the basic premise is this: I wanted to capture my journey to published Author. Every Author has his first sale. His first publication that nets him money. Even after you get your first sale, there is still more work to be done. I don’t want to be a one hit wonder.

Of course, when I’m no longer a Rookie (and to me a Rookie is someone who has sold one manuscript to a publisher at professional rates), I’ll look to turn the site over to the next rookie, so they can capture their journey. If no one wants to take it over, I’ll just keep on publishing. I may change my mind later on, but for now thats the intent.

A person I consider a friend, accomplished author Ken Rand, on the first day we met, asked me if I was a writer? I hesitated of course because I didn’t have any work published yet. His advise to me was “They may tell you you’re not a writer, but never let them tell you you don’t write.” I took that to mean, I’m always writing, always working, and building my skills. I may not be published yet but that doesn’t diminish what I’m working on.
